“Robert Burns The Musical” Launches it’s first Single “Follow My Scotland #112914”

The New Musical “Robert Burns The Musical” Launched it’s first single on Monday 13th April

A cast recording of the musical  is said to have also been recorded but no launch date has been announced as yet.

I have listened to the new single “Follow My Scotland #112914″  and  if this is a taster of what’s to come then I’m first in line for the Album.

” Follow My Scotland #112914″ the song symbolizes a £10 debt that Robert Burns had when he died, from a tailor for a Regiment coat. £10 in today’s money would be worth £1129.14 hence the title of the song.

The song has a very Anthemic quality to it…a stand tall and be counted feel –

Although not a political song in nature I’m not surprised there is a campaign for it to become the next Anthem of Scotland….

Download the Song and see for your self..

Kerry Katona is Marilyn Monroe in new West-End show

It has been announced that Kerry Katona will star as Marilyn Monroe in a new show called ‘Norma Jeane The Musical’.
The recently bankrupt singer said: “I’m thrilled to have been given this opportunity to play one of the world’s biggest female icons and can’t wait to get to work. A successful career in drama has always been a main goal of mine and this role is a challenge but one I’m going to grab with both hands.”
Although Kerry may not be the obvious choice, The Guardian have pointed out that both women come from deprived backgrounds, have been married three times, lived with depression and addiction problems, and have had significant amounts of plastic surgery.
The musical has been written by Belvedere Pashun whose musical Wag The Musical officially opened at the Charing Cross theatre on Wednesday 24th July
Speaking to The Sun, Belvedere said: “Marilyn’s life was one of extremes – poverty, abandonment, abuse followed by flowering beauty which brought attention, fame, wealth and power and then the well documented tragic fall. I needed an actor of huge talent, personality and experience.”
The musical is still in development, Kerry will first play Marilyn in front of an invite-only audience on 22nd September 2013.

Geronimo Rauch to be the next Phantom???

Geronimo Rauch

The departure of Geronimo Rauch from Les Miserables at the Queen’s Theatre on Saturday night with alternate Daniel Koek taking over the role full time (Christ Holland on Monday evenings) has fuelled the rumour that has been circulating for some time that he is taking over the lead role in The Phantom of the Opera.

Argentinian actor Rauch has already said he is staying in the UK for the foreseeable future and is on holiday at the moment (doing one final show in Les Mis at the evening performance on Wednesday 31st July). This fits in perfectly with the rehearsal scheule for the new Phantom cast which changes over on 2nd September.
